Our Story
Cherry Pie Pinot Noir is all about one thing: location.
Inspired by artist T.R. Colletta’s painting of a juicy, mouthwatering, hot-out-of-the-oven cherry pie, Cherry Pie wines are a collection of single and multi vineyard Pinot Noirs that have a distinct sense of place, from select vineyards in California. From cool, well-draining sites at sea-level to wind-blown, elevated vineyards on steep slopes, each cluster begins with the influence of its surroundings. Vineyards are chosen as if we are buying a home–carefully selecting a place to live, to set down roots, to embrace the culture of the neighborhood. A place that will leave a distinct imprint from harvest to bottle.

Artistic Expression
Artist T.R. Colletta describes his richly detailed paintings of everyday, distinctly American objects as “contemporary exercises in recognizable memories”. Inspired by American culture, he portrays the cultural fabric surrounding us in all his oil canvas paintings.
As we sought an identity for our first vintage of Pinot Noir still in barrel, we came across a rare piece of T.R.’s work that caught our eye; an oil on canvas image of a juicy, mouthwatering, hot-out-of-the-oven cherry pie. Inspired by this painting, we knew this was to be the label and the name for our juicy, flavorful Pinot Noir: Cherry Pie.
